Anderson Jones, colored, was hung on the 20th inst., in the jail yard of Augusta, 
for the murder of young Harrolson, a country store keeper, at McBean station on 
the Georgia Railroad. The murder was committed on the 16th of December 1879; but 
owing to various delays of the law he was not executed until last Friday. It was a 
brutal and cowardly murder; but the criminal like most of his stripe expressed 
perfect confidence as to his future state and left several excellent letters of 
religious advice to his friends.
