The Aiken Recorder January 4, 1886
Cato Kady, a negro who was convicted of burglary and larceny and sentences from 
Aiken county in 1876 to serve ten years in the penitentiary and who escaped 
shortly afterwards was captured in Barnwell county after nine years freedom and 
sent back to the penitentiary on Friday last.
