Aiken Standard, 8-18-1897

Again has our section been saddened by the death of our friend and brother,
Mr. John Boysworth, of Vaucluse, which occurred on Tuesday evening last.  
The cause of his death was heart trouble.  Just a few minutes before his 
death he was on the streets seemingly in good health.  Mr. Boysworth fell dead 
just as he started in his yard.  Dr. M.M. Leroy was called in two or three 
minutes after Mr. Boysworth was taken.  Consequently there was not any inquest 
held.
The funeral was preached by Rev. J.E. Beard of the Methodist church; after 
which the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery.
