Death of Mr. Joseph S. Bean.
[Augusta Chronicle, 20th ins.]

Mr. Joseph S. Bean, after a long illness, died this morning, at this residence, 
on Reynolds Street. For some time his life has been despaired of, but surrounded 
by the best of attention and sustained by the most careful of nursing, his life 
was prolonged until to-day. Mr. Bean was a native of New Hampshire, but had been 
engaged in business here from early youth, and at the time of his death was a 
cashier of the National Exchange Bank. He was a useful citizen, a man of modest, 
sterling worth, an will be missed and mourned in this community.
