The Aiken Recorder 2 Sept 1884
Died, August 18, 1884, at his home near Windsor, James Westley Brown, in the 33d 
year of his age. Mr. Brown was known to us for a number of years as an upright 
citizen. His death was occasioned by that insidious disease, consumption, which 
had long since marked him as a victim. He leaves a widow and four little children 
to mourn his loss. Our sincere sympathies are extended to this bereaved family.
