Sprawls, for the purpose of robbing him of a sum of money, which was supposed to be in his possession. After ransacking the premises and not finding it, they deliberately murdered him and his wife, saturated their bodies and the bed-clothes with turpentine, and, after firing this mass, they coolly locked up within the house an infant and a little girl seven years old to perish in the flames. They were arrested and are not lodged in the Aiken Jail to await their just fate, and will be tried at the next term of Court in Barnwell. Our reporter visited them on Wednesday, but they refused to give any information in regard to their heinious crime.
