The Aiken Recorder 
Death on the Rail.

On Thursday last a white train hand by the name of Owens was killed on the 
S.C.Railway, near Langley, in this county. Owens was in the act of coupling cars 
when his head was caught between the two platforms and his brains crushed out in 
the most horrible manner. Several trucks passed over him after he fell. The body 
was afterwards taken to Charleston.
