Vaughn Good Will Colored Methodist Main Street, Starr, SC Organized 1896 Built 1904, wooden frame t shaped, belfry & bell, size of building 25 X 42 feet long, value of building $975, value of lot $100, total value of property $1075.00. First settled clergy Rev. James McElveen, tenure 1898 - 1900. Formerly worshipped in a vacant warehouse 1896 - 1904 when the weather was inclement. Worshipped in a brush arbor when the weather was suitable. The organization came into being after the railroad was built and the population became more dense in this locality.
