William Davis to Andrew McGill State of South Carolina Know all men by these presents that we William Davis and Jane H. Davis heirs of William McGill deceased all of the State and district afore said for and in consideration of the sum of Thirty Six Dollars to me in hand paid by Andrew H. McGill of the same State and district have bargain sold and release unto the said Andrew H. McGill his heirs and assigns all of our interest of a tract of land belonging to the said William McGill deceased situate being and lying in Anderson District on a branch of Steel Creek waters of Big Genesostee Creek waters of Savannah River containing One Hundred and Eight acres more or less. Bounded on the west by land of George Stephenson on the south by lands of Charles Brown, Sr. and on the east by lands of Jesse Campbell. Together with all and singular the right members hence forth and appertation and this unto belonging or any wise incident pertaining to have and to hold all and singular on intrust to the above mentioned. Promises unto the said Andrew H. McGill his heirs and assigns forever and we do hereby bind ourself our heirs executors administrators and assigns to warrent and forever defend the said interest to the said premises unto the said Andrew H. McGill his and assigns against ourself our heirs and against ever other person or persons claiming or to claim the same or any part there of in witness where of we have here unto set our hand and seal this the Twenty Seventh Day of July in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty Seven and the Seventy Second Year of American Independence.
