Anderson, Feb 3 - Jack BROOKS, 17, school boy, died late Thursday at his 
home on Cater street after an illness of the last several weeks.
The youth is survived by his mother and step-father, Mr and Mrs Lee RICKARD; 
his grandmother, Mrs Emma MAULDIN, of Anderson.  He was a nephew of Chief 
Albert MAULDIN, of the Anderson fire department; Miss Sallie MAULDIN and J W 
MAULDIN, of Anderson, and John MAULDIN, of Greenville.
Funeral services will take place at 11 o'clock Saturday morning at the home, 
with the Rev R L Holroyd officiating, assisted by Dr Joe H Carter.  
Interment will follow in Silver Brook cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Johnny BATES, Jack HOPKINS, W L GREGORY, Harry and 
William F CLYBORNE, H W COLLINS, Thomas E LITTLEJOHN, W C NICHOLS and B L 
BYERS.
The body is at the funeral home.
