Roll No. 1001 Will of John Harper in the name of God amen I John Harper of the State of South Carolina Anderson District being of Sound and disposing mind and memory in Common helth of body and cauling to mind the uncertainty of life and being desirous to dispose of all such worldly Estate as it has pleased God to bless me with do make and ordain this my last will in manner following that is to say I desire my Just Debts bural Expences &C be first pade out of my Estate and that the ballance that is all my Estate both rail & pirsenal Shold remain as I leave it under the Cear and mammagemt of my Executor ____ ___ (There appears to be a couple of words here that are unreadable) For the support of my wife Martha dureing hir life and my Desire further is that my three daughters which is now with us namely Mary Zilpha and Martha that they Shold remain with thare mother and inJoy a Shear of the bennefits of my Estate but if Either of them Shold marrey that they Shold have as much Given them which has marred and left us or more if the Ballance Can Convently Spare it and if either of Them or all remain single until thare Mothers Death my desire is that they shold hold persesion of all my Estate So long as thare is one of them a lieving unmarred unless the last one wold Consent to brake up then my desire is that all the remains of my Estate Shold ne brought to Sale and an Equal Distributation made with all my Legatees having regard to what they have recd My desire further is that if my oldest Daughter Shold at aney time be come out of a home that is Nancy that She have leave to have hir a house bilt on my land and lieve thate or in the house with them So long as aney of the other Girls lievs thare if it Shold be the appinnion of my Executors thaey Cold better the condition of the famuelly & not inger the Estate to Sell whare I now lieve & by Sum whar in the District it is my desire that they Shold do so & the land so Changed for Shold be of my Estate & dispsed of as above mensiond and Lastly I do Constitue and appoint my Sons John & Thomas Executors & Mary my daughter Executrix of this my last will and testament by me made in testamonay whareof I have hier unto Set my hand and affixt my Seal this fifteenth of November 1844.
