Humphrys Judge of Probate Rec in Will Book Page 526-528 The State of South Carolina In the name of God Amen. I Samuel Morris of Anderson County and State aforesaid, now in good health, and of disposing mind and memory, do constitute and ordain this as my last Will and Testament. I hereby give and bequeath all the property of which I may die possed. to my children, here named Share and Share alike. To wit Richard M. Morris, Salina M. Wright, Tersey A. Estus, Leanor E. Elrod and Mary E. Clark, the last named two being Deceased it is my will that their children receive the Shares to which their Mothers would have been entitled to had they been living. I do hereby nominate and appoint my son Richard M. Morris and my son in law D. A. Elrod Executors of this my last Will and Testament revoking and annulling all other wills by me here tofore made, and I do hereby confirm this by my hand and Seal this the 24th day January 1873 Signed Sealed published & (Signed) Samuel Morris (Seal) in presence of us J. The Humble Petition of R M Morris respectfully sheweth that Samuel Morris departed this life intestate on or about the 19th day of February 1875 leaving a Small Personal Estate, which is subject to waste; whereupon your Petitioner prays that your Honor will grant Letters of Administration upon said Estate.
