Being week in body But of Sound and disposing mind and memory (Praised be God for it.) And considering the certainty of Death, And to the End I may be the better prepared to leave this world whenever it shall please god to Call me hence do therefore make and declare this my last will and Testament in manner following (VIZ). First and principly I commend my soul in To the hands of God my Creatro hoping for free parden and remission of all my Sins, and to enjoy everlasting happiness in heaven through Christ my Savior. My body I commit to the Earth at the discression of my Executors and as towhat worldly goods it has pleased God to bestow on me it is my will and I doe direct that all of my Just debts, If any be paid out of my estate, In the next place, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary Poor the house I now live in also out houses and appurtinances and all the plantation or cleared land and all my farming tools except such as may hereafter be excepted to her free use and behoof during her natural life or widowhood and at her deth, what remains of my personal property to be sold and Equally divided amongs my five daughters. In the next place I give to my Son Samuel the Tract of land whereon he now lives on Toneys Creak waters of Saluda River Containing Two Hundred and Six acres more or lefs running n lines laid out for him to go to him and his heirs for Evir. And I give to my youngest Son Lemuel Poor the Tract of Land whereon I now live with all its apputenances ( Except as is above Excepted the use behoof and uninterrupted possession of Mary Poor his mother to the house and plantation during her natural life) then to go Exclusively to Lemuel Poor and his heirs forever. I also give to my son Lemuel Poor my Blacksmith Tools waggon and harnes big cupboard big bible and log chain. To remain in the hands of Mary Poor during her natural life. And I give my oldest daughter Delilah Poor the Tract of Land whereon she now lives containing on hundred and seventy three acres more or lefs to her use and behoof during her natural life or Celibacy. And at her death or marriage to go to her son Harper Poor and his heirs for ever. I also give to Delilah Poor on Cow and Calf. And whereas I have money due me may not be collected fer a long time I will request that my Executors hereafter named may Collect the Same as Early as convienent and divide it Equally amongst my five daughters, and I doe hereby make known declare and publish this as my last will and Testament and doe request and appoint Mary Poor, Samuel Poor & Lemuel Poor Executors &C of this my last Will and Testament.
