DEED OF GIFT-PRISCILLA HALL TO NEPHEW ROBERT GUERIN 1758 BERKLEY CO., SC
 
South Carolina
      KNOW all Men by these presents that I Priscilla Hall for and in 
consideration of the love and affection which I have and bear unto my 
Nephew Robert Guerin and for divers other causes and considerations I 
the said Priscilla Hall thereunto moving HAVE given and granted And by 
these presents Do give and grant unto the said Robert Guerin one negro 
Girl named Pathena together with her increase TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the 
said Negro Girl named Pathena with her issue and increase unto my said 
Nephew Robert Guerin his Heirs and assigns to the only proper use Benefit 
and behoof of the said Robert Guerin his Heirs and assigns for ever 
But in case my said Nephew the said Robert Guerin should happen to Dye 
before he shall attain to the age of Twenty one years then & in such case 
I do hereby give & grant the siad Negro Girl named Pathena together with 
her issue & increase unto my two neices Elizabeth & Mary Guerin their Heirs 
and assigns for ever or to the survivor of them & the Heirs & assigns of 
such survivor AND the said Priscilla Hall the said negro girl named Pathena 
together with her issue and increase unto the said Robert Guerin and his 
Heirs as aforesaid shall and will warrant and fore ever defend by these 
presents In
 
IN WITNESS whereof I the siad Priscilla Hall have hereunto set my hand and 
seal the 25th. day of November Anno Domini one thoushand seven hundred and 
Fifty Eight.

Majesty's Justices assigned to keep the peace for the county aforesaid Peter 
Guerin who being duly sworn made oath that he was present and did see 
Priscilla Hall sign seal and deliver the within Deed of Gift as her act and 
Deed & that he saw his wife Mary Anne Guerin sign the same as an Evidence a 
also that he the said Peter Guerin did sign the said Deed as Evidence and that 
he saw the said Deed delivered for the purposes within menitoned.
