Weekly Raleigh Register (Raleigh North Carolina) April 5, 1810
At Sandy Hill, S. C. on the 16th inst, terminated the
existence of Gen. Wm Washington, and added the name
of that gallant veteran to the melancholy list of deceased
American worthies.
