A. R. Knickmeyer was Anna Rebecca O'Neale Knickmeyer, wife of T. E. Knickmeyer
W. C. O'Neale was William Caswell O'Neale, Anna Rebecca's brother.
A. C. O'Neale was Albert Campbell O'Neale, Anna Rebecca's brother.
T. E. Knickmeyer was Theodore E. Knickmeyer

February 26th, 1898, a terrible fire at 160 Church Street in Charleston, SC caused 
the deaths of 9 people. Sadly those killed were the wife, 6 children, and two brothers-in-law 
of Firefighter Theodore Knickmeyer of Engine Company 2. He was on duty at the firehouse when 
the fire was called in.  He arrived in time to see police officers carrying out his children, 
burned and dead.
