Principally and first of all I give & recommend my Soul to the hand of God that gave it and my body to the dust to be buried in a Christian like and decent manner at the discretion of my Executors nothing doubting but at the General Resurrection to receive the same again by the mighty Power of god and as touching such worldly gods wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life, I give and dispose of in the following manner & form-------- I give & bequeath to my Son Joseph Brown the plantation whereon I now live to Him and his hairs or assigns forever Only reserving to my Well beloved wife Sarah Brown the House wherein I now live with one third of the plantation during her life, & at her decease to return to my Son Joseph likewise I give and bequeath to my Son Joseph a Bay Horse and Wagon with farming implements and two Negro Boys Bill & Baildy I give and bequeath to my Son Andrew Brown Two Hundred dollars to be paid to him by my Son Joseph. I give and bequeath to my Daughter Anne Brown A Bed and furniture one Cow a mare worth Seventy dollars Saddle & Bridle a negroe girl Carline I likewise bequeath to my wife Sarah a negroe woman named Jarry and a girl named Rhoda with he remaining part of my Stock and household furniture---I do likewise constitute and appoint my son Joseph Brown and Sarah my wife to be my Sole Executors of this my will in trust tot he intent & purpose in this will contained to see the Same performed according to my true intent & meaning utterly revoking and disannulling all former wills and testaments ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and Testament in Witness whereof I the said Stewart Brown have hereunto Set my hand and affixed my Seal this twenty fourth day of August 1805----Signed sealed Published pronounced and Delivered by the Sd Stewart Brown as his last will and Testament in the presence of us Stewart Brown (seal) James Anderson Thomas Anderson Robert Anderson Probated Feb. 9, 1809 Bk.
