I John William Copeland of Chester County South Carolina yeoman being of sound memory & full mind, blessed be god but calling to mind my Mortal State do make & ordain this my last Will & testament Viz. I recommend my Soul to God & my body to the earth to be buried at the Discretion of my Executors--and as touching my worldly Estate I give devise & despose of the same in the following manner & form. Imprimus. I Give & bequeath unto my Son John twohundred & twenty five acres of that tract of Land lying on the South side of Broad River on People's creek & the Indenture Service of Jonathan Govil, Provided nevertheless that he shall pay the indenture fees unto said Jonathan Govil. Item I Give & bequeath unto my son William all that Plantation on which I formerly lived containing 200 acres; and the Indenture Service of Jacob Govil provided that he the said William Shall pay the Indenture fees unto said Jacob Govil--Item I Give & bequeath unto my Daughter Mary Anne one hundred & twenty five acres being a remainder of the above mentioned tract of Land on People's Creek. Item I give & bequeath unto the oldest daughter of Susannah Briggs one Cow or the value thereof in money It is furthermore my will that all the Remainder of my Estate be Divided in the Following manner Viz. So divided that my dughters Mary Ann Margret & Betsy shall have double as much as my Sons John & William-my Just & lawfull debts being paid before said division. I do hereby constitute & appoint Charles Gilmore & John Copeland my Son Executors of this my last Will & testament utterly Revokig all other will & testaments.
