The Lumberton Argus 05/12/1905
  Mrs. Susie Finlayson died at her father’s home at Maysville, S. C., 
Tuesday May 9th.  The remains were brought to Lumberton, Wednesday and 
buried in the McQueen burying grounds. The deceased was the eldest 
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Chaffin, formerly of this town.  Mrs. and 
Mrs. Chaffin, and Messrs. DeShants and Sprott, of Maysville, S. C., 
accompanied the remains.  The friends of the bereaved greatly sympathize 
with them, in this their hour of sorrow.
