Contributed to The USGenWeb Archives by: Cynthia Ridgeway Parker (cindyparker@ftc-i.net) -------------------------- Clarendon County, South Carolina White Family Cemetery The White Family Cemetery is located on the old White family home place, in the Bloomville section of Clarendon County. There are thirteen grave stones marking fifteen graves. There were twelve to fifteen metal stobs or posts which may have been marking others graves with no markers. The cemetery may be found by traveling from Sumter on Route 521 South. Turn right onto Route 48. (Oak Grove Methodist Church and Cemetery is on Route 48.) Continue on past Oak Grove for 3 or 4 miles. Be careful not to blink or downtown Bloomville will be a blur. A few miles past Bloomville a Pentecostal Church will be passed with the new church on the left hand side of the road and the old church on the right hand side. The next buildings that can be seen along the road are mobile homes. The land mark to look for is a mobile home and a house on the right. Turn down the dirt road there. Go on down this road until it ends. There will be a fork in the road, but either fork leads to the cemetery. Directions to the cemetery had been given to Dee and Cindy by their cousin, Pearlie Ridgeway Ridgeway of Bloomville, Clarendon County, South Carolina. Cousins, Dee Lowder Schmidt and Cynthia Ridgeway Parker of Sumter surveyed this cemetery on 16 August 1996. The grass had been recently been mowed by a tractor. It was obvious that someone keeps the cemetery up. This cemetery listing does not appear in the book, Old Sumter District Cemeteries, Clarendon County. It was missed when the Sumter County Genealogical Society did its survey. 1. Josephine F. Cutter wife of T.J. Cutter 1878-1910 2. and 3.
