Where you see my vehicle parked amidst all the trees and bushes is where the cemetery is hidden from plain site. The open fields to the right, all up and down the highway was Robert E Jones' property. Robert had two more sons, one being Robert Edgar Jones Jr. who is buried at the Carter / Ford Cemetery. The other son was Robert Clark Jones whose burial whereabouts is unknown. Robert was the original owner of this piece of property and the Family Cemetery was his. Robert, his wife, children, grandchild and his son in-law with their children are buried here. His mother and father were John S Jones and Elizabeth BROXTON Jones, the original owners of the Jones Plantation in Colleton Co. SC. Robert was a simple and descendant man who was a farmer. He obviously provided well for his family right to the very end. Robert Edgar Jones and his wife Sarah Melinda CALDWELL were my 3rd Great Grandparents.
