Cone To Joel West Title to Real Estate The State of South Carolina Know all men by these presents, that I, W.F. Cone of the county of Colleton in the State aforesaid, farmer, in consideration of the sum of eight hundred dollars to me in hand paid at and before the sealing of these presents by Joel West in the State aforesaid, county of Colleton (the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged), have granted, bargained, sold, and released, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, and release unto the said Joel West of the said State and County all that parcel, piece, or tract of land situated, lying, and being in St. Paul's Parish, State and County aforesaid containing thirteen hundred (1300) acres, more or less, and bounded as follows 'to wit' on the north by the road known as the "Cane Acre Road" and lands of Estate of Thos. Gelezer (?), south by lands of Estate of Mitchell, east by the "Beech Hill Club House" road and lands of Estate of Grimke, west by lands of William Mitchell, TOGETHER, with all and singular the Rights, Members, Hereditaments and appurtenances to the said Premises belonging, or in anywise incident or appertaining: TO HAVE AND TO HOLD, all and singular the said premises before mentioned unto the said Joel West, his Heirs and Assigns forever. And I do hereby bind myself and my Heirs, Executors, and Administrators, to warrant and forever defend all and singular the said premises unto the said Joel West, his Heirs and Assigns, against me and my Heirs, and all persons lawfully claiming, or to claim the same, or any part thereof. WITNESS my Hand and Seal, this fourth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty five and in the one hundred and tenth year of the Sovereignty and Independence of the United States of America.
