Dedimus George the Second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland, King Defender of the Faith and soforth. To James Sharp Esqr. John Laird and Alexander Gordon Gentlemen Whereas Maryann Andrew Wife of Joseph Andrew of Saint Bartholomews Parish in the Province aforesaid hath of her own Free Will and voluntary consent and with out any Manner of Dread Fear or Compulsion from or by her said Husband or any other Person or Persons whatsoever Joined to and with her said Husband the said Joseph in certain Deeds of Lease and Release the Release under the Hands and Seals of the Said Joseph and Maryann bearing date Respectively the Seventeenth and Eighteenth days of January in the present Year of Our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and fifty Seven in Conveying in Fee Simple unto James Andrew of the same Parish in the Province aforesaid Planter and to his Heirs and assigns forever All that Plantation or Tract of Land containing One Hundred and thirty five acres situate Lying and being on the Westside of Pon-Pon River and on a Savannah called the Horse Shoe Savannah in Colleton County Butting and Bounding to the North on Land of the said James Andrew to the South on Lands of George Evans to the West of Thomas Cliffords and East on Land of the Estate of Culcheth Golightly, Together with all and singular the Houses, Outhouses, Buildings, Fences, Woods, Ways, Waters, Water Courses, Commodities, Advantages, hereditaments, and appurtenances whatsoever unto the said premises belonging or in any wise appertaining and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Yearly and other Rents Issues and Profits thereof and of every part and parcel thereof and whereas to us it hath been Suggested the Said Maryann is not able to Travel to Charles Town to make and declare her Voluntary Consent and agreement of a Conveyance and Release of her and her Heirs right and Title in and to the said Premisses and the Reversion thereof without manifest danger of her health We therefore Considering the State of her the said Maryann Andrew in this Behalf command you the Said James Sharp John Laird & Alexander Gordon or any two of you and have Given and by these Presents do Give and Grant unto you or any two or you to go to the Said Maryann Andrew and to take such Release Renounciation and Acknowledgement as the said Maryann Andrew shall voluntarily make before you in the Premisses and Such Release Renounciation and Acknowledgements you cause to be Certified to Our Justice at Charles Town at Our next Court of Common Pleas to be there held after the Same Shall be by you or any two of You so taken according to the Law and Usage of Our said Province and have you then and there this writ witness Peter Leigh Esquire our Chief Justice at Charlestown the [BLANK] Day of [BLANK] in the Year of Our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and fifty Seven and in the Thirty First Year of Our Reign The Execution of the above Dedimus } James Sharp Appears by the Schedule hereunto annexed } Alexander Gordon Recorded 4th Feby. 1758 Maryann Andrew } to } Renounciation of Dower James Andrew } South Carolina To the honourable Peter Leigh Esquire Chief Justice of His Majestys Court of Common Pleas in the Province of South Carolina aforesaid. We whose names are hereunto Subscribed and Seals affixed Commisioners mentioned in the annexed Dedimus or Commission Do hereby Certify That on the fourteenth Day of December in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and Fifty Seven Before us Personally appeared Maryann Andrew Wife of Joseph Andrew of Saint Bartholomews Parish in the Province aforesaid who being by us privately and separately Examined did acknowledge and declare that She of her own free will and without any manner of Dread Fear or Compulsion from or by her said Husband or any other Person or Persons whatsoever directly or indirectly did consent and agree with her Said Husband the said Joseph Andrew in Releasing confirming and conveying in Fee Simple unto James Andrew of the same Parish in the Province aforesaid Planter and to his Heirs and assigns for ever All that Plantation or Tract of Land containing One Hundred and thirty Five Acres situate Lying and being on the West side of Pon Pon River and on a Savannah called the Horseshoe Savannah in Colleton County Butting and Bounding to the North on Land of the said James Andrew to the South on Land of George Evans to the West on Thomas Clifford and East on Land of the Estate of Culcheth Golightly. Together with all and singular the Hereditaments Priveledges Commodities and appurtenances whatsoever to the said Tract of One hundred and thirty five acres of Land belonging or in any wise appertaining, and the Reversion and Reversions, Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and Profits thereof To have and to hold all and singular the said premises with the appurtenances unto the said James Andrew his Heirs and Assigns forever in and by certain Indentures of Lease and Release bearing date respectively the seventeenth and eighteenth Days of January Last past and the said Maryann Andrew did further acknowledge before us that she doth for herself her heirs and assigns voluntarily and freely Release and for ever quit claim unto the said James Andrew and to his Heirs and Assigns for ever all and all manner of Right Title or Claim which she the Said Maryann Andrew then had or there after might have Expectant thereupon and attending the same and that she the said Maryann Andrew and her Heirs from any Estate Title Claim or Demand therein or thereto shall be henceforth barred and forever Excluded.
