Service Williamson's Co. S.C., Vols., Florida War. Filed 21 Mar. 1896 from N.C.(should be S.C.) Jas. Register states in his general affidavit that Mrs. Joshua Register (Harriet Loyd) was buried 15 April 1849. Sallie Loyd states that Harriet was her sister and she was buried in the family cemetery at Oates, S.C. Isabella Register in her claim 18 Mar. 1896 states that she is 67 yrs. old and a resident of Darlington Co. that her maiden name is Stewart and she and Joshua were married 15 July 1849 by Rev. John Elliott. That her husband died in Darlington Co.5 April 1860. She has not remarried since. Her husband is described as about 5'7", blue eyes and black hair and light by complexion. He was a farmer, born in Darlington Co. and lived there the remained of his life. There is no mention of her parents, siblings or children
