First, I recommend my Soul unto the Hands of God that gave it and my Body to be buried in a Christain form and order and as to those earthly goods and chattels, with which it hath been pleased to God to blass me with, I give and bequeath in the following manner.  First, I will that all my just Debts and all necessary expenses be paid.  Seccond, I give to my beloved with Ann Sammons, the free and full enjoyment of all my free hold and real estate together with the three horse creatures that I now posess and all my stock of cattle, hogs, sheep, and goats except two cows and calves to my daughter Susan Sammons and also two other cows and calves to my daughter Winney  Sammons or otherwise Winney Runnels, and all the rest of my property both real and personal to continue with my Wife during her natural lifetime and after her death to be equally divided amongst her lawful heirs and further do make this my last Will and Testament or in case of her failure I do ordain and appoint my son James Sammons to be my Sole Executor to this last Will and Testament. Signed, sealed, declared, and published to be my last Will and Testament revoking all other wills heretofore made by me this Eight day November and in this year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty One and in the Fifty Sixth year of American Independence.
