Mrs. Marie B. Wilkerson,
Store owner for 22 years

		
Dillon -- Mrs. Marie Bailey Wilkerson, 76, widow of John Wilkerson, died 
Wednesday.

Born in Dillon County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Nancy Golden 
Herring Bailey.  She retired after 22 years as owner and operator of a grocery 
store and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and Woodmen of the 
World.

	Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Shirley Whittington of Charlotte and Mrs. 
Donna Henson and Mrs. Deborah W. Flowers, both of Dillon; a son John M. 
Wilkerson fo Dillon; and a sister, Mrs. Genevieve B. Compton of Las Vegas.

	Services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel 
with burial in Riverside Cemetery.  [The State Newspaper, 11/16/1989]
