Hancock, Shcirath(?) that Elizabeth Hancock, late of the District and State aforesaid departed this life on the ----- of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty seven intestate ----- leaving the following children---Mary Floyd, James Hancock, Frances Wheeler, Peter Hancock, Hickey Barton, Tabitha Hancock, Thomas Hancock and your Petitioner George W. Hancock. That the said Elizabeth Hancock died prized(?) and possessed of some personal property consisting of three or four hundred dollars and household furniture---of which administration remains to be made---that your Petition is the son of the said Elizabeth, deceased.
