Michael Howard & Wife                                   The State of Georgia
       To                                               Pike County
Abner Watson & Archibald Watson   
     Know that all men by these presents(presence)that one Michael Howard and
Temperance his wife, of the State and County of the aforesaid, for the 
consideration of the sum of twenty five dollars to us in hand paid by Abner
Watson & Archibald Watson of the State of South Carolina and the District of
Edgefield have granted,bargained,sold,& released & by these presents do grant,
bargain,sell,and release unto the said Abner Watson and Archibald Watson one
tenth of part of two thirds of a tract of land in South Carolina and in the 
District of Edgefield.On the Cloud's Creed,waters of Little Saluda River being
one tract of thirty five acres granted to Arthur Watson the 5th day of February
1787,and part of another tract granted to continuing three hundred acres & the 
said two hundred,fifty two acres hath such form and marks as appears by a plat
herein annexed. Together with all and singular the rights members hereditaments
(sic)and appertances(sic)to the said preises belonging or in wise incident or
appertaining.To have and to hold all singular the aforesaid one tenth part of
the said two thirds unto the said Abner Watson and Archibald Watson to them and
their heirs forever and we do hereby bind ourselves,our heirs,executors,and to
warrant and forever defend all and singular the aforesaid one tenth part of the
said two thirds unto Archibald Watson and Abner Watson agains ourselves and our
heirs and against any other person or persons whomsoener lawfully claiming or to
claim the same of any part thereof.
     Witness our hands and seals this the fifteenth day of February in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty. In the fifty fourth year of
Independence of the Uniter States of America.
