LE Lott Sworn to and subscribed before me this 10th day of June 1886 (LS)WE Sawyer NP for SC State of South Carolina Aiken County I, WM Jordan, Clerk of the Court of Aiken County, do certify that I am well acquainted with LE Lott; that I know him to be a bona fide resident of this State, and that I know him to have been in the military service of the Confederate States when he received his wound (or injury). Given under my hand and official seal this 9th day of July 1886 WM Jordan CC Aiken County State of South Carolina Aiken County Personally came JHA Williams, Levi Lybrand, and LV Claxton who, being duly sworn, depose and say that they are, each and all of them, acquainted with LE Lott; that he is a bona fide citizen of this State, and was in the military service of the Confederate States, from this State; that of their personal knowledge he was wounded (or injured), while in military service, and from the effects of such wound (or injury) he is unable to earn a livelihood. LV Claxton Surgeon's Certificated of Disability State of South Carolina Aiken County Personally appeared before me, LM Asbill and MM Pitts who, being duly sworn, says that they are regularly licensed physicians; that they have examined the said LE Lott, and find him suffering from the effects of a wound (or injury) of the following character (describe nature and condition of injury) Fracture of the femur in two places. Upper third and lower third of the shaft with about three or found inches shortening and from _______ of the wreck of the R Road train pressing across the lower part of his body caused hernia on right side. He is fifty years of age. And in our opinion, his injuries incapacitate him for earning a livelihood.
