Mrs James H White complimented Mrs Nancy Lott Saturday with a birthday dinner 
which twenty odd ladies enjoyed.  A large pund cake with twelve candles 
multiplied by seven gave the number of years, 84.  These tapers peeped out from 
between Dorothy Perkins roses and as each was removed from the cake it was 
blown out with a wish, then the cake was cut and passed around.  After dinner 
they all enjoyed music and make the welkin ring with songs of olden days, Wait 
for the Wagon was especially enjoyed.  Those invited were Mrs Thos Rhoden, Mrs 
JR Hart, Mrs Henry Jordan, Mrs May Cullum, Mrs Roert clarke, Mrs TJ Langston, 
Mrs MA Huiet, Mrs Mary Waters, Mrs Victoria Hart, Mrs TR Denny, Mrs Mary 
Hamilton, Mrs Kate Crouch, Mrs Hulda Warren, Mrs Belle Turner, Mrs James 
Turner, Mrs Willie Thompson, Mrs Julia Mobley, Mrs Ann Mobley, Mrs SG Mobley, 
Mrs Mary Norris, Edgefield; Mrs Lou Sammons, Macon; Mrs ES Wertz, Mrs Mattie 
Toney, Mrs Mary Walker, Misses Fannie Jefferson, Mary Garlington, Misses Eliza 
Mims, Dessie Stevens, Bettie Warren.
