Lott Died At Johnston Special to the Chronicle Johnston, SC, April 15-Mr G.W. Lott died last night at his home about one mile from Johnston, at nine o'clock in the 69th year of his age. Mr Lott was a gallant soldier in the Confederate army, being wounded three times in different battles. In the battle of Gettysburg, he lost his right limb crippling him for life and from which he has suffered ever since and from which his death resulted. He was a soldier in Co II, Seventh, SC Reg. He leaves a devoted wife, Mrs Virginia Lott. His children are Messrs. J.N. and C.J . Lott, of Johnston; Mrs J.J. Wright, of Johnston; Mrs. P.E. Dorn, of McCormick, SC; Mrs John C Kammer, of Blackville, SC. Two brothers survive Mr Lott, P.N. and S.P. Lott of Johnston. Mr Lott was one of the family of Lotts, who lived in this section in Revolutionary days. Mr. Lott was a life member of Dry Creek Baptist church, but the funeral services will be held tomorrow (Friday morning) at 11 o'clock from his late residence, conducted by Rev M I Lawson. The burial takes place at the old family burying ground, in sight of his home. The U.D.C. will attend in a body sing and place the laurel wreath and iron cross.
