Samuel C. Strom This aged and highly esteemed citizen died at his home near Gilgal church on Monday of this week, aged nearly eighty-four years. On yesterday he was buried in the cemetery adjoining the church, and within a stone's throw of his life-long residence. Deceased was an honest man, the noblest work of God, and belonged to a generation who believed that labor is worship and that to pay debts and to speak the truth are of the cardinal virtues. For many years he had been a member of Gilgal Baptist church and died in the faith, with the hope and trust that all was well with his soul. A widow three sons and one daughter, and a large number of grandchildren, are left to perpetuate the name and virtues of this deceased patriarch.
