The marriage taking place at the bride's home, Mr and Mrs Jack Neal Lott. About fifty relatives with a few friends witnessed the marriage that was performed most solemnly by Rev ML Kester. Miss Edna Lott at the piano accompanied Mrs CP Corn in her sweetly rendered song "O Promise Me." At the end the minister came forward and took his place in the parlor. Down the sairway came the maid of honor, Miss Geraldine Kammer in a dress of yellow satin, with overdress of shimmering sulle. A coronet of Goldenrod encircled her brow. In her hand a basket filled with Goldenrod. Behind the maid came little Harriet Toney as flower girl, dressed in white with black veil of yellow. All along the stairway she scattered flowers for the pathway of the happy pair, who took their stand under a white bell suspended from an arch of green. The bride wore a coat suit of new blue, mingled with silver and a close fitting hat to match with gray boots. On her arm she carried a bouquet of gorgeous bride's orses in shower effect. The cermony was made more impressive by the ring being placed on the finger by the groom and added vows were taken. It was the celebration of a weeing and a birthday party in one for on October 3, 1896, Virginia Lois Courtney first saw the light of God's beautiful world, then brining such joy and happiness into her home. While twenty one years hence she enters into another home to shed joy and sunshine and to bless and comfort as long as they both shall live. During th ceremony Beautiful Traumari was heard from the violin of Mr CJ Lott and during the congratulation period Miss Edna Lott had the air melodious with beatiful music. The wedding gifts wee pretty among them a check for $75.00. The congratulation most received was that Mr and Mrs Kammer were to remain in Johnston living in the home from which they married. Mrs Kammer resides here and is in the dry goods firm of J Neal Lott. His character is without blemish and a bright futur is before this young couple. The out of town guests were Mr and Mrs JC Kammer, Misses Geraldine and Nattalee Kammer, Briggs and Claude Kammer, Blackville.
