I, Edmund Cox, of the state of South Carolina and the County of Edgefield, being sick of body, but of sound mind, and memory, do ordain this my Last Will and Testament in form and manner following (Vis) Premises: Item, My will and desire is that all my just debts first be paid, together with my funeral charges. 2d Item:I give and bequeath unto my friends Wm. Key, and James Coursey, the ten pounds they are indebted to me for my first years service, to them and their heirs forever. 3d. Item: I give and bequeath unto Mrs. Elizabeth Coursey, and Mrs. Duck, forty shillings to be equally divided between them, to them and their heirs forever. 4th Item: I give and bequeath unto Polly Martin Wife of Marshall Martin two guineas to her and her heirs forever. 5th Item: I give and bequeath unto my friend Edmund Holleman, one pair of pistols and holsters, to him, and his heirs forever. 6th Item: I give and bequeath unto my friend James Levingston my silver watch, to him and his heirs forever. 7th Item: I give and bequeath unto my friend, Edmund Holleman and James Levingston all the remaining part of my whole estate that has not been heretofore given away to them and their heirs forever. 8th Item: Lastly, I constitute, and appoint my friends Edmund Holleman and James Levingston my whole and sole executors of this my Last Will and Testament.
