In the name of God amen I Wm. Flin senr (Senior) of the State of South Carolina 
and the District of Edgefield being weak in Body but of Sound and perfect mind 
and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and 
form Following that is to say 

1.  I give to my son Stephen Flin five Dollars and to my daughter Sarah 
Williams five Dollars.

2.  I give to my five Sons Wm Flin Abraham Edmund George W. and Anderson F. 
Flin Each one Featherbead (Featherbed) and Furniture 

My will and Desire is that the Balance of my estate both Real and personal be 
sold and Equally Divided between my wife Nancy Flin and my nine children viz. 
Mary lyon Davy              Broadwater Wm. Flin Seely Flinn Abraham Flin 
Edmond           George W. Flin & Anderson Flin to them and their heirs forever 
and I also give to my wife Nancy Flin one Feather Bead (Bed) Bedstead and 
Furniture my Will and Desire is that my Son Edmond part Remains in the hands of 
my Executors herafter (hereafter) to be mentioned and to be Disposd (Disposed) 
of by my executors for the use of my said son Edmund I do also Give to my 
Executors her after (hereafter) to be appointed full power and Authority to 
settle and  trans aots (transact ??) all my business though I was present 
myself and lastly I Do appoint my two sons Wm and Abraham Flin Executors to my 
last will and testament    Witness whare (where) of I have hireunto (hereunto) 
set my hand and seal            Fifth day of March in the year of Our lord one 
thousand eight Hundred and therty (thirty) seven signed sealed published and 
Declared by the above named Wm Flin senr (senior) to be his last will and 
testament in the presents (presence) of us who have her unto (hereunto) 
subscribed our names as witnesses in the presence of the testator.

			Personally appeared before me Wyett Holmes who being 
duly sworn makes oath and says that he saw William Flin Sr. sign, seal, 
publish, pronounce and declare the within to be and contain his last Will and 
Testament and that he the said William Flin was then of sound and disposing 
mind, memory and understanding to the best of this deponants 
Knowledge            belief, and that he the said Wyett Holmes toge      
(together) with David Walker and William Johnson did sign their names as 
witnesses thereto at the request of the Testator and in his presence --  Same 
time Qualifyed (Qualified) William Flin Jr. Executor -- Given under my hand 
this 28th day of August 1837.

Children buying property at the estate sale were Celia Flinn Rush, William 
Flinn, Freeman Flinn, Washington Flinn and Guy Broadwater (husband of Rachel 
Flinn).

Additional Comments:
Records within Nancy West Flinn's Revolutionary War Widow's Pension Files show 
William Flinn died August 13, 1837, in Edgefield County.  This statement dated 
8th July 1839 was made by Guy Broadwater.  Also, statements by William Flinn, 
Jr. show Nancy West Flinn died January 15, 1868, in Edgefield County.

Records are provided by the family of a descendant of Anderson Freeman Flinn 
(April 27, 1817-January 22, 1889) and Nancy Caroline Barton Stewart Flinn 
(October 8, 1824-September 30, 1864).  Both are buried at Mt. Hermon Methodist 
Church Cemetery in Hale County, Alabama.
