I, JAMES HARRISON of the state and district aforesaid, being very weak and low, but of perfect mind and memory, thanks be given unto God. Calling unto mind the mortality of my body and knowning that it is appointed once for all men to die. I do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament, that is to say principally and first of all, I give and recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God, that gave it, and my body, I recommend to the earth, to be buried in a decent Christian burial, at the discretion of my executors, nothing doubting, but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again, by the mighty power of God. And as touching such worldly estate, wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this life. I give, demise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form. First, I give and bequeath to ANN, my dearly beloved wife, three negroes, during her natural life to wit., one negro man named Jack, one woman named Pindu, one boy named Andrew, also the plantation, where I now live, the house with improvements belonging to it, with all benefits in any ways thereunto belonging during her natural life. Also two feather beds and furniture, except what I shall hereafter name, also my stock of horses, cattle and hogs. I give her support allow her my crop, now on the ground. Also, I give and bequeath unto my well beloved son WILLIAM, one negro boy named Andrew, at the death of my wife ANN. Also to my well beloved daughter ANN, I give one negro woman named Pindu, at the death of my wife, one feather bed. Also, I give and bequeath to my grandsons WILLIAM and WILEY RENNELS, all the land, I now hold and which I have left to my wife ANN at her decease. Also the one negro man named Jack, all the stock, horses, cattle and hogs and household furniture to be between MOSES and MARY and JAMIMY and my granddaughter MARY F., JAMES HARRISON's daughter and my granddaughter's part to be kept in the executor's hands, till she shall come of age. Lastly, I do appoint, order and constitute, my beloved wife ANN and my well beloved son, MOSES, to be the sole executors of my last will. I do hereby utterly disallow, revoke and deny, all other and every former testament, will, legacies and executors by me in any ways. And I do hereby ratify and confirm this to be my Last Will and Testament. In witness thereof, I have here unto set my hand and seal, this twenty third day of July in the year of our Lord One thusand seven hundred and ninety and nine and the twenty fourth year of American Independence of the United States of America. Assigned, sealed, published and pronounced by the said JAMES HARRISON, as his Last Will and Testament, in the presence of us, who in his presence and the presence of each other, have here under set our names as witnesses.
