SC Will Book A, page 67. In the Name of God Amen, I John Jackson of Ninety Six District and province of South Carolina at present being of sound mind and memory praise be to God for it, do make ordain constitute and appoint this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following. That is to say first I recommend my soul into the hands of almighty God who gave it hoping thro the merits, death and passion of Jesus Christ my Savior to obtain remission of all my sins and to inherit everlasting life, and my body I commit to the earth from whence it came to be decently buried at the discretion of my executors hereafter named and as touching the disposition of all such worldly estate as it hath pleased almighty God to bestow upon me I leave and bequeath as following. Item I give unto my son Henry Jackson five pounds sterling to be paid in ma nner hereafter to be mentioned. Item I give to my son Drewry Jackson five pounds sterling to be paid in manner hereafter to be mentioned. Item I lend to my daughter Abigall Duncomb one negro girl named Dice during her natural life and after her death I give and bequeath the said girl Dice and her increase to the said Abigall Duncombs children to be equally divided between Elizabeth Duncomb, James Duncomb, Jannet Duncomb, John Duncomb, Wiley Duncomb and Ailsey Duncomb to them and their heirs forever. Item I give to my son James Jackson one negro woman named Diner and one negro boy named Will to him and his heirs forever. Item I give to my daughter Ailsey Cimbrall one pound sterling to her and her heirs forever. Item I lend to my daughter Ann Miller one negro girl named Silva during her natural life and after her death I give and bequeath and said girl Silva and her increase to the children of the said Ann Miller to be equally divided between Edmond Langford, Elizabeth Langford and Nancy Miller to them and their heirs forever. Item I give to my son John Jackson one negro man named Ted and one negro girl named Lile to him and his heirs forever. Item I give and bequeath to my son Green Jackson one negro lad named Cuffee and one negro girl named Sall, and also the land and plantation whereon I now live containing 100 acres more or less together with all my stock of horses, cattle and hogs, my household and kitchen furniture also all my plantation essentials to him and his heirs forever. And lastly my will is that James Jackson, John Jackson and Green Jackson pay in equal proportion of the eleven pounds given to my three children in cash. I constitute ordain and appoint my two sons James Jackson and Green Jackson my executors of this my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking disannulling and making void all other wills by me made. Ratifying and confirming this and only this to be my Last Will and Testament given under my hand and seal this the 26th day of February in the year of our Lord 1787.
