All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/sc/scfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Debra Maddox Wilson JWi4194718@aol.com September 3, 2008, 5:20 pm Source: Edgefield County South Carolina Wills, Vol.2 Book A, Tp.418419 Written: August 26, 1807 In the name of God amen. or Be it remembered that I George Kyser Senr. of the state of South Carolina ---- Edgefield County Being Weak in Body But of sound and perfect mind and memory or you may say thus considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound & Blessed be almighty God for the same do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form Following that is to say First I give and Bequeath Unto my beloved wife Elizabeth Kyser my Negro Wench Charity and one hundred Acres of Land more or Less and four Cows and Calves to keep the whole of ----them together and two work horses and all my Household Furniture and my Request is that in time of need if she can without hurting herself to help them in furniture And again be it remembered that after her Death for the whole of the above mentioned property to be equally divided among the children---- I do also give and bequeath unto my Eldest son Philip Kyser one Negro Boy named Shadrack and one mare and one cow and two heifers and yearling and also I give and bequeath unto my son George Kyser my waggon and hind Giers one mare and one cow and two heifers running at Sam Smiths and I also give and Bequeath to my son Jeremiah Kyser one hundred and fifty acres of part of the Tract whereon his mother hath and one sorrel filley and one cow and calf and heifer yearling----- And I also give and Bequeath to my Daughter Elizabeth Kyser one Negro Girl Named Rose and I also give and Bequeath to my Daughter Nancy Kyser, one Negro Girl named Kiz. Now to that if the old wench or any of said Negroes do have children for them of Sd [said] Children that hath none to have them till all of them hath a Negro apiece. Item for the woman to keep all the above mentioned, Negroes in her possession until she marries or the children comes of Age----- The balance of the horses to be sold to make the above legacies equal to be values by these freeholders----- and I hereby appoint James P Harrow and my son Philip Kyser to be Executor of this will. Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the Day of August the 26th 1807---- Signed sealed published and declared by the above named to be his Last Will and testament.
