I give. in manner and form following: I have given to my daughter Mary Cook one Negro named Jack , one horse, and Saddle , bed & furniture. I have given to my daugher Ellisabeth one negro named [Caleb/jacob?], one horse and saddle, & one bed and furniture. I have given to my daughter Mourthing one Negro named Sam, one horse & saddle, one Bed & furniture. I have given to my daughter Temperance [Stra---] one Negro named __, one horse & saddle, bed & Furniture I will and bequeath to the children that is Single __________ John (,) Willy, Suzana (,) Charity, sollomon, [area black] Sampson all my lands and Negros (lists negros) and equal division at the youngest coming of age. Solomon Popes estate contained 13 Negroes There seems to be an accounting for many years of payments that seem to be for the maintenance of land, farm and support of the faimily. No indication of payment of any legatees during this time.
