In the name of God, Amen.  I, Nicholas Ware, Senior of the State of SC, 
Edgefield County, being of sound mind and discretion, but reflecting on the 
uncertainty of life, do make, institute and appoint this my Last Will and 
Testament, and declare the following to be my will and intention.
Imprimis, I give my soul to God, who gave it to me, and trust in the mercy of 
my Savior for perfect remission of sins, and my body to the ground to be 
entered at the discretion of my executors hereafter named.
Item.  I will that all my just debts be paid before my executor shall be 
obliged by my children on their representatives to deliver over to them any 
part of my estate and the better to comprehend my meaning.  My will is, that 
all my estate be exposed to public sale within 13 months after my decease.  
That the monies arising from the sales thereof, to continue or remain in the 
possession of my executor or his executor or executors till all debts due by 
me are paid.  And that the remainder be distributed or divided equally among 
my children, Reuben Ware, Henry Ware, Sarah Samuel and Robert Ware.  Provided 
my son, Henry Ware, will pay all debts by him contracted, which I have either 
verbally or by writiing assumed.  Upon his noncompliance, my will is that my 
executor pay out of his (my son Henry) part of porportion all debts of his, I 
have assumed.  And the remainder of his part then to be delivered to him.
Item.  I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Samuel, $50.00, besides her 
proportionable part, after my debts are paid.
Item.  It is my will that my executor be not accountable for the hire of 
negroes during the time allowed before the sale.  It is not neither my 
intention that there should be any appraisement of my property, but that it be 
exposed to sale agreeable to the before mentioned clause or papagraph.
And lastly, I constitute and appoint my son, Robert Ware executor of this my 
Last Will and Testament.  Thereby revoking all former wills.  Given under my 
hand, this 11th day of June, 1799.  Signed and sealed in the presence of Saml.

Additional Comments:
Nicholas Ware (1720-Abt. 1801) was married to Dorothy Garrett who probably 
passed on before her husband, as she is not mentioned in his will.
