Cooper [This will is transcribed with its original spelling and punctuation except for replacing the "f" used at the time for "s". Items in brackets are my comments.] In the Name of God Amen. I Drewry Auston of Jackson Creek in Camden District Being weak of Body But in perfect memory and judgment Blest Be God for all mercies Do make and ordain my last will and testament in the following manner and form: I first order all my just Debts to be paid out of my Effects and my Corpse to be Decently interred. First I leave to my Beloved wife the Hundred ackers of land that I live upon and also all my Horses and all my Household furniture such and Beds and House plenishing and also all my Labouring utensils plowes Hoes and mattocks and also Hannah my Negro wench and also all my cattle and sheep and Hogs these I leave to my wife to enable her to raise and support my small Children. Secondly I leave to my Eldest son William Auston one Hundred Ackers of Land that lies on the Creek Below where I live Betwixt my house & Joseph Chapmans and also a negro Boy Dick or the money that is allowed to be his value. Thirdly I leave to my son Davies one Hundred ackers of land on Buckhead in Georgia and also one Negro Girl named Rose. Fourthly I leave to my oldest daughter Casia one Negro girl only if she lives to have any children she must give the first Child that the Negro has that lives to one of the younger Children that they may everyone have a negro apiece. Fifthly I leave to my Daughter Marey one negro girl named Save. Sixthly I order and leave the child that the old Negro wench is now Big with to my daughter Nancey. Seventhly I leave to my Daughter Betty that Child that is above mentioned which is the first Child that Emey has that lives and I also leave the first two Children that Hannah has after the one that is above mentioned to Nancy to be given to my wifes two sons one to each of them if the wench lives to have so many. I also leave one hundred ackers of Land that lies on Broad River to my Eldest Daughter Casia [?] and Lastly I constitute and appoint my wife Elizabeth Auston and Cornal John Phillips to be my Executors to this my Last will and Testament to see Justice done to my children and I order that if any of my Children Die before they come of age that their part be equally divided amongst the rest of my Children and acknowledge this to Be my Last will and make void all former wills.
