       IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEAN
I John Dods Being Weake of Body But Sound of Meamory Blifsed be God do
this fifth Day of March Eighteen Hundred and Seven Make and Publis this My
Last Will and Testament in the Manner thereof-------- 

Nixt 1. gave Unto My bloved Wife (Name "Rebeckah" printed above the line.) 
One fifth Part of My Extate.  Real and personal and that at their Disposal 
at their Dath x The Remainder I Bequath Eaquily Amongst My Children And I 
do Recomend My Loving Wife, with the asistang of the Exacotors To have the 
Estate appraised. I also Recomend the Plantation whereon I formerly Lived 
to be Sold and the Money to be put to Intrest, or if the Execitors Should 
See an advantagous Bargan of land they xx are Herein-------  Impowared to 
lay it out in that way-----  I do also Recomend My Children To Have Nesesery
Loacation and that Expenc to Come by the industry of The famely As
long as they Stay together and Should it pleas God---To call any of them
from the presen lif before they get their Share of the Estate it is My Will
that their part by Enquly divided amongst Surviving Childring. That is to
Say if they are Not Come of age to Make A Will or dispose of their part
to their on pleasure it is My Pleasure That a Sertain Bag of Cotton Now on
Hand be Disposed of in order to Pay of the present Debts of the
Estate----
and I do appoin My Beloved Wife Rebecka Dods, Archabl Paul and James
Rogers  My Excuttors To Execute this My Last Will and testament
according To the true intent and Meaning thereof---in Wittnefs Wereof I 
John-- Dods Have to this My Last Will and testament. Set My Hand and Sale
