By the Grace of God now & forever Amen: First I do Will and ordain to my beloved wife Mary as follows A Negro girl or wench named Lucy, also she is to have the management of the negroes and property, Say plantation, farming utensils, horses and cows for the benefit of herself and the children, to Support them and pay their schooling & c until they become of age or get married, then they are to get their share of the property to be afterwards named, if she gets married that is my wife Mary, the property is immediately to go to my children and their benefit, Also my daughters Hannah Emiline ^ she to have my wench named Patience with her increase from H. Emiline ^ comes of age, My Son David Gregg I allow him my boy named Sam. That is after D. Gregg comes of age, Also my daughter Mary Henderson I allow her Sophia my Negro girl, also with her increase, if any after she Mary H., comes of age, Also my daughter Elizabeth Robinson, she to have my girl named Nancy with her increase, after E. Robinson comes of age. Also my Son William Thomas I allow him to have my boy George, that is after Wm. Thomas comes of age, Also my daughter Sarah McCreight I allow her to get my boy Joe, that is after S. McCreight comes of age—excepted if any of the above named negro girls have a daughter the first born to go to Sarah McCreight, in place of Joe, the negro boy and if any of the above named children their negro to die, Joe is to go to them, and also if any of the above negroes die before my children comes of age or have them in their pofsefsion if any increase by the negro girls the first born of any of them to go to Whatsoever of my children loses the negro left to them, but if no deaths of the negroes, Joe is to go to my wife Mary, that is the negro boy Joe, Also my Son David Gregg he is to get my tract of land called the Wm.
