Other "items" included cotton, sheep, pen shucks, cows, carts, wheat, oats, horses, and oxen divided among each of his children. This is NOT a complete record of Abraham Smith's estate records, which can be found in Apt. 11 File 59 of Greenville, SC Probate Records. Below is a listing of slaves owned by JOSHUA SMITH and STEPHEN W. SMITH recorded in the 1850 Greenville Slave Schedule. They are listed by number, age, sex and color (in that order). JOSHUA SMITH 1-60-M-B 2-45-F-B 3-16-F-B 4-10-F-B 5-6-M-B STEPHEN W. SMITH 1-25-F-B 2-5-M-B 3-2-M-B 4-1-F-B NUTTY SHEPPARD was married to WILLIAM SHEPPARD and moved to Stone Mountain, Dekalb County, GA. NANCY SMITH married W.S. GLENN in 1847, possibly moving to Spartanburg, SC.
