Grew and William Anderson the same was Ordered to be Recorded - William Barton to Thomas Barton Lease This Indenture made the twenty second day of February and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven Hundred and Eighty seven Between William Barton and Elizabeth his wife of Spartansburgh County and state of South Carolina of the one part, and Thomas Barton of Greeneville County and state aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said William Barton and Elizabeth Barton his wife fore and Consider- ation of the sum of ten shillings Sterling money to them in hand well? and truly paid by the said Thomas Barton at and before the sealing & Delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged they the said William Barton and Elizabeth Barton his wife hath Granted, Bargained and sold and by these presents doth Bargain and sell unto the said Thomas Barton all that plantation or tract of Land containing three hundred and thirty Eight acres lying and being in Greenville County and state aforesaid for both sides of Bartons Fork of South Tyger River Bounding Southwesturraly on land laid for Ephraim Reese.
