JESSE TRAMMEL, residing in the upper portion of this District, who has attained the age of 100 years, served all last week in Court as a petit juror. What is most remarkable, he went through the labors of the week without serious fatigue, hearing and sight is good as most men 30 years his junior, and he is still possessed of good memory and intelligence. MR. TRAMMEL was born and raised in Union District of this State, but for a great many years past has been a citizen of Greenville District. Whilst a youth his health was delicate -- he was able, however, to aid his Mother in taking care of the farm whilst his elder brother went into the Whig army. He is tall and slender in form, florid complexion, grey eyes and hair not entirely white. He always supported the character of an honest man and industrious citizen; possessed of competant means, has led the life of a farmer, and lived plain farmer style. His habits have been temperate. -- Greenville (S.C.)
