M. Seal, near the city last night at 10 o'clock after an illness of several months. She had been in a critical condition for weeks and the end was not unexpected. Miss Hughey was a daughter of the late J. L. Hughey and Sarah Frances Duncan, of this county, and would have been 55 years of age on the 28th of next month. She was connected with her brother in law, A. H. Woodle, in the jewelry business for many years and was widely known and held in highest esteem. Surviving are two brothers, Dr. J. B. Hughey, of Gaffney, and John D. Hughey of Greenville, and four sisters, Mrs. Seal, Mrs. Joel Burnett, Mrs. A. H. Woodle, and Miss Mary Hughey, all of Greenwood. The funeral services will be conducted at South Main Street Baptist Church tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock by her pastor, the Rev. Walter Lee Coker and Dr. Charles F. Sims and interment will follow in the Methodist cemetery on Cambridge street. The following will serve as pallbearers: Active - Joe Seal, C. H. Burnett, J. B. Benjamin, W. C. Harrison, R. D.
