Death of a Little Girl

Zettie Lucile Cooper 

The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. L. P. Cooper were saddened on October 14, 
1908, to learn of the death of their little daughter, Zettie Lucile. She was 
born January 30th, 1908, and died October 14th, 1908, being in all only eight 
months and fourteen days. She was sick less than a day, which made it much 
harder on the parents and loved ones to give her up but they bow in humble 
submission to him who doeth all things well.

Her remains were taken to Pisgah Cemetery and were tenderly laid away by 
loving hands on Friday.

“Go to thy rest fair child,
Go to they dreamless bed,
Gentle and meek and mild,
With blessings on thy head.
Fresh roses on thy pillow laid
Haste from this blight land
Where flowers so quickly fade.”
