E. P. Cooper W. E. P. Cooper was born June 29, 1849 and departed this transitory life April 28, 1910. The death angel came and took the immortal spirit of Mr. Cooper to the God who gave it. In January 1857, he was happily converted to God. He married Miss Elizabeth L. Jones and to this was born eight children, three of who preceded him to the spirit land. Mr. Cooper united himself with the Methodist church in early life and served the Church in various capacities with zeal and devotion. He also severed several terms as the district Steward. He was Trial Justice for Dog Bluff Township. He served throughout the War Between the States and made a brilliant solider. He raised for himself a monument that the hand of time cannot destroy. As a citizen he was prominent in every good work, always contending for that which was honest and true in life. In his death his children have lost a loving father the Church a faithful and zealous member and the State a loyal citizen. The Lords works all things together for good to those who love him. Dear friend, thou art at rest from thy labors, and may you rest in peace. May God pour out his richest blessings, upon the sorely bereaved family, and while we feel that in his death we have sustained a great loss we hope it is his eternal gain. We bow in humble submission to the will of him who doeth all things well. Albert P.
