Death of Mrs. S. G. Ellerbe 

Marion-April 28. Mrs. Sarah Godbold Ellerbe, widow of the late Col. Edward B.
Ellerbe, died suddenly at the home of the her nephew, Mr. Wm. A. Godbold, who
lives two miles north of Marion in a few minutes after she left the dinner table
yesterday.  Mrs. Ellerbe whose home was in Florence County, had come to Marion
Tuesday to spend some time with relatives in and near Marion and seemed then to
be perfectly well.  This morning she was in town and went to the cemetery to her
husband’s grave little dreaming that she would so soon be laid to rest by his
side.  She was 63 years of age. 

She is survived by six sons, and three daughters, all of whom are grown.  One
son Mr. John C. Ellerbe has been living a number of years in South America but
at present is in Panama.  All the others are residing in South Carolina and were
summoned.
